How do you remove a hard drive?
Best Answer:
1. Disconnect power
2. Open the computer's case
3. Find the cable that connects your hard drive (see Source below for what a hard drive looks like)
4. Disconnect that cable from the drive (leave it connected to the motherboard...the large flag circuit board on the wall or floor of your computer case)
5. Connect the cable to your new hard drive and reinsert where the old drive was
6. Close the case, reconnect power, and turn on.
